Social Skills Groups

ICAN’s Social Skills Groups provide opportunities for your child to build on their social interests in a group setting. Social Skills Group programs are designed to help your child build friendships, share and expand their play skills, learn conflict resolution strategies, learn self-regulation strategies, and grow their independence with functional interactions across all environments.

Our Groups

  • We teach social skills in a play-based setting. Using social learning frameworks and incorporating music and dramatic play activities, early learners are able to engage in social activities with peers in a supportive and inclusive environment for all learning styles.

  • Our elementary age group allows children to practice social skills in a more structured environment teaching the foundational skills of working on a team.

    We teach skills including:

    • Understanding hidden rules

    • Using flexible thinking

    • Using emotional regulation strategies to problem solve

  • Our upper elementary age social group takes the foundational skills taught in our younger groups and builds independence towards social interactions.

  • ICAN has specialty social groups including video game development, executive functioning groups and more.
