The Cost of Insurance
Insurance costs are associated with both upfront costs as well as costs that are incurred for accessing services.
Up Front Costs:
Your up front costs are typically associated with paying for the premium of your plan. Your employer may cover a portion or all of the premium.
These are costs associated with accessing services and include, co-pays, co-insurance and deductibles.
NOT ALL INSURANCE PLANS ARE THE SAME AND THE COST OF INSURANCE VARIES GREATLY.
Cost of Intensive Services:
Given the required intensity of treatment that is required for your child, there are higher costs.
We contract with a number of major insurance carriers and will authorize and reimburse for treatment. There may be instances where you are required to pay out of pocket for the services and then seek reimbursement from your insurance carrier.
Given the intensity of ABA services, families are faced with more frequent therapy sessions and therefore higher costs.
Some plans will authorize treatment, but require the family to pay out of pocket and seek reimbursement from the insurance company after the fact. In these cases private pay services are an excellent option. Reports and documentation of services are distributed on an individualized basis to meet the insurance company’s reimbursement schedule.
We do offer private pay options with discounts to support in the out of pocket expenses associated with intensive treatment.
Plan Ahead and Budget
It is important that you understand all of the costs associated with treatment and develop a budget.
